Spring into family history research

1st September 2019

Spring is a fantastic time of year. The sun is shining and warmer weather has arrived here in Australia, with the promise of rain just around the corner.

It's always a great season to begin, or further, your family history research.

So many more records are becoming available to view on your computer at home, or at your local library.

Did you know that the Western Downs Regional Council provide computers and access to Ancestry.com in their libraries?

Queensland Births, Deaths & Marriages index is even more user-friendly since their major update earlier this year.

And of course, Trove, an initiative of the National Library of Australia, is an amazing resource for digitised newspapers.

Files are added daily to the free surname search on the website homepage, and if your ancestor name is not there, contact us for a dedicated search, email anytime to admin@obituaryresearchservice.com.au
